Kentucky’s final scrimmage of fall camp took place on Saturday at Kroger Field. The Wildcats left the stadium in good shape and ready to attack the final few days of camp before shifting into game prep mode. The opener is just two weeks away.

Head coach Mark Stoops likes where Kentucky is at heading into this final preseason push.

“You get to this point in camp, and you’re glad to walk off that practice field with getting a bunch of work done and keeping people healthy. And we did that,” Mark Stoops told reporters after practice. “That’s a good thing. I don’t think there was any major injury out there. We got quite a few situations done again today. We had to just continue to put the ball down and play football.”

“All the communication, all the substitution, and relatively clean. It got sloppy later with some twos and threes with some pre-snap penalties and things of that nature but overall clean. We’re getting better.”

The head coach, defensive tackle David Gusta, and offensive guard Joshua Braun also discussed tackling, the running game, updated the status of tailback Seth McGowan, and much more.
