WATCH: Mark Stoops recaps Kentucky's win vs. Tennessee Tech

As you would expect, Mark Stoops was a happy man after Kentucky’s 42-10 win over Tennessee Tech. The Cats kept the momentum from the Auburn and Florida wins rolling — especially Cutter Boley — and the seniors got one final win in Kroger Field, which is plenty of reason to celebrate.
“I love this team’s attitude and effort, and really greatly appreciate the seniors playing for the last time in Kroger Field,” Stoops said to start his press conference. “Some of those guys have been around a long, long time. Some of them are new, but all of them have had a great impact on our program, and they’ve shown great leadership. And I greatly appreciate them and their families being here today to celebrate a good victory, and now it’s on to the next.”
Cutter Boley is not a senior, but he played with the poise of one. Cutter had a lot of highlights this afternoon, but the biggest may have been his 30-yard scramble for a touchdown to put Kentucky up 14-0 near the end of the first quarter. Stoops admitted he got a little nervous when his prized quarterback lowered his shoulder to push into the end zone, but he loves the toughness from No. 8.
“I was a little bit dumbfounded, and I said, ‘Did he score?’ And then he scored. So, you know what, that’s fun. It’s fun. You do not want to see that. We were just talking about that. We’ve got to teach him how to protect himself a little bit, but some of that is going to kind of fire up your team, and for him to lower his shoulder and get in the end zone just shows another element to his game and what he’s willing to do for his team. Yeah, without a doubt, no question, would have been pretty easy to tiptoe out of bounds right there, but he decided to get it in.”

Stoops also talked about Brennan Ward, the freshman quarterback who came in for Boley in the fourth quarter, and how he would have liked to see fellow freshman Stone Saunders as well. See it all below.
