WATCH: Mark Stoops recaps Kentucky's loss to Georgia, addresses buyout report

Mark Stoops’ press conference following Kentucky’s 35-14 loss to Georgia started like most of his press conferences following losses do, with Stoops giving the other team credit and saying his own needs to get back to work. It got spicy when Stoops was asked about Alan Cutler’s report that he approached the administration about negotiating his buyout following last season.
Stoops shot down the rumor and made it clear he’s not willing to walk away from Kentucky, which is now 2-3 this season and 1-10 in SEC games since the start of last season. Today was demoralizing, and Stoops said several times that Kentucky has to improve, especially on defense, to turn things around.
“We have to do a better job in all phases. Defensively, we really struggled with getting off the field. They converted quite a few third downs throughout the game, but in particular, in that first half, where they got us on our heels. So credit them, and again, for us, I said it before, but I appreciate our team’s work. We got to execute better, and in critical moments.”

Stoops did give credit to Cutter Boley for a gritty performance in a tough environment and praised true freshman wide receiver Cameron Miller for an impressive fourth quarter. You can see it all below.
