Bully back???

Kentucky’s starting nose guard Marquan McCall has missed the last three games due to an ankle injury, but if you go to his Twitter page, he might be returning to the field very soon. McCall tweeted on Friday afternoon that he “Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow” ahead of UK’s matchup against Tennessee on Saturday night.

Since we’ve been getting nothing but “we’ll sees” from head coach Mark Stoops regarding McCall’s status, this feels a pretty good indicator that he will be back on the field against the Vols. The 6-foot-3 senior was initially injured during the first quarter in the win over Florida on Oct. 2.

McCall entered the 2021 season as a preseason third-team All-SECer, according to Phil Steele. The timing of his injury was not ideal for Kentucky, as McCall was coming off his best performance as a Wildcat in the win over South Carolina the week prior. Having him back in the fold will be a major boost to Kentucky’s defensive line against Tennessee and moving forward.

Time to play some Bully Ball.
