Pennsylvania linebacker Max Mohring commits to Kentucky

The commitment train is showing no signs of slowing down at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility. Another defensive target has joined Kentucky’s 2026 commit list. UK has recorded a Mid-Atlantic recruiting win.

Malvern (Pa.) Prep linebacker Max Mohring committed to the Wildcats on Tuesday night following his official visit to Lexington over the weekend.

The unranked prospect was receiving some Ivy League interest before Kentucky defensive coordinator Brad White issued a scholarship to Mohring on April 30. UK quickly got an official visit scheduled for a prospect who has clocked 11.55 in the 100 meters at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. UCF issued a scholarship offer and also got the Pennsylvania prospect on campus. After seeing Scott Frost‘s program in Orlando, Mohring made it to the Bluegrass.

That was enough to secure the commitment.

Max Mohring is Kentucky’s first linebacker in the 2026 class and third defensive prospect joining Vero Beach (Fla.) High cornerback Jordan Crutchfield and Rockford (Ill.) Guilford safety Messiah Tilson. UK is currently pursuing Mohring’s teammate Jackson Samuels-Ford. The blue-chip EDGE took an official visit to Lexington earlier this month.
