Mitch Barnhart, Matthew Mitchell toured a coal mine in Eastern Kentucky today
For the second summer in the row, UK Athletics is traveling the state to get to know fans through the Big Blue Caravan tour. Today, they kicked things off with a stop in Hazard, where Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart, Women’s Basketball Coach Matthew Mitchell, UK Gymnastics Coach Tim Harrison, and other members of the athletic department toured a Blackhawk coal mine:
From there, they went to City Hall for a meet and greet with fans:
On Twitter, Barnhart recapped the experience:
It was also great catching up with L.D. Gorman at city hall and visiting the Hazard ARH Medical Center. Some special people here in Eastern Kentucky who really love their Cats. pic.twitter.com/LwTd5iqZgn
