NBA Draft Lottery Primer

nba-draft-lottery As most of you know, tonight is the NBA Draft Lottery.  The fun begins at 7:30 on ESPN and will almost assuredly determine where John Wall spends the next 3 years, but it will also give us a better idea of where our quartet of other Wildcats will end up.  This has typically been a day of little interest to UK fans because, though we had draftable players, very few of them have been considered lottery candidates.  But that all changes this year where we could potentially have 5 players selected in the first 14 picks (and probably a good chance at 4).  That just doesn't happen in college basketball and will definitely be a day to celebrate.  Here is a primer on everything you need to know about what's going down in Secaucus, NJ tonight (with an assist from the Washington Post): wizards1 Here are a couple of other interesting UK-related notes when is comes to the NBA Draft and Lottery: ---UK has not had a Lottery pick since Ron Mercer went 6th to Boston in 1997.  Seriously. ---John Wall could become UK's first #1 overall selection.  Sam Bowie was taken #2 by Portland in 1984.  But, of course, you knew that already. ---Since the Draft Lottery was instituted in 1985, Kentucky has only produced 6 Lottery selections.  Duke has 15.  But that all changes now! So now that you're a NBA Draft Lottery expert, where do you want to see our boys go?  Where would you most want John Wall to go?  Boogie?  Pat?  Share your thoughts in the comments.
