NBA Summer League Update

Currently I'm on an odyssey to the West which for the next couple of days has me living on Vegas time. Vegas is the place that I'd really love to be right now since that's where our former Cats are currently launching a takeover of the Association and for the most part have proven that they should have not been passed over in the draft. Today's games have featured a slew of our former Cats that are playing in the summer league. Here is how the former Cats did from today's games so far: Doron Lamb: After scoring 20 points on Monday Lamb was back in action in his second NBA game earlier today. Once again Doron had a solid game as he earned the start and scored 12 points. So far Lamb has shot 12-25 in the Summer League for just a notch under 50%. Doron may prove to be one of the early steals of the draft as the 42nd pick has been playing better than several first rounders. Despite Lamb's solid play Milwaukee ended up losing by three points. Lamb and the Bucks are in action again tomorrow as they take on the NBA D-League.   Daniel Orton: Today's second set of games saw a match-up of two former Cats as the Raptors took on the Bulls. So far Daniel Orton has struggled as he transitions to Toronto. Orton has only scored 2 points in three games with 35 minutes of game time. But today was the best game so far for the former Magic center. Orton scored seven points shooting 100% from the floor and led the Raps in rebounding. It was an alright game for the third year big man and he will have one more game left to prove his worth to the Toronto organization and earn a roster spot in the NBA.   Houston Rockets vs Chicago Bulls: Terrence Jones has been the star of the draft for the Rockets as he has been averaging 18.5 ppg through his first four games. Tonight he continued his hot streak by scoring 16 points in the first half! Jones finished with 17 points and 9 boards. Josh Harrellson didn't score in limited minutes during his Houston debut but today he made his mark on the game. Jorts scored 13 with the majority of them coming during the second half. The Rockets took on Marquis Teague who struggled in his first NBA game last night as he went 4-17 with only one assist to contribute eight points. Tonight he settled down a bit against his former teammates and dished out 5 assists on the way to scoring 14 points. Hopefully his second game will be more indicative of his NBA career than his first.   Right Now: Darius Miller is taking the floor against the Suns right now. Darius first two games where up and down as he scored only 3 points Sunday but had a better game on Monday as he scored 11. You can watch him in tonight's game live by paying $4.99, but I'm sure there are some other places you could find to watch the game for free. Tomorrow Orton, Lamb, Darius, and perhaps MKG take the floor as the summer league begins to wind down.
