No. 1 Auburn goes down at Arkansas and the finish was disrespectful

Auburn Basketball fans (it’s a new species) have only five more days to enjoy the school’s first-ever No. 1 ranking because Arkansas spoiled the Tigers’ fun Tuesday night in Fayetteville. Auburn’s 19-game win streak was snapped by the Razorbacks in overtime in Bud Walton Arena before fans rushed the floor to celebrate the taking down of America’s top-ranked team.
Adding insult to defeat, Arkansas guard Davonte Davis threw a lob to himself and then swung on Wendell Green’s face as the buzzer sounded and fans mobbed the floor.
Even better than the dunk, Eric Musselman lost his shirt in the celebration and is still walking around shirtless at the time this story is published.

How It Impacts Kentucky
Unfortunately, Kentucky needs two more Auburn losses to get a look at the regular season crown and the No. 1 seed in Tampa. The league really did a disservice to the Cats by not giving them a rematch back in Lexington in the head-to-head battle between the conference’s two best teams.
If anything, Tuesday’s outcome moved Arkansas closer to Kentucky’s second-place spot before the Razorbacks host Kentucky later this month. Arkansas (8-3) is currently third in the SEC behind Auburn (10-1) and Kentucky (9-2). Tennessee is also hanging around with three in-conference losses.
