Kentucky beat Eastern Kentucky tonight in the first home game of the season at John Cropp Stadium.
The two teams failed to score in the first four innings of the game until the Cats made a quick turnaround scoring two runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Christian Stokes scored the first run of the game by hammering her fourth home run of the season. Maisie Steed scored the other run of the game in the sixth when Brooklin Hinz hit a double to leftfield. Though no other runs, the Wildcats made multiple other hits during the game. Sylver Samuel and Meagan Prince contributed two hits while Erin Rethlake contributed three.
