Reminder: No. 7 UK Softball Plays for SEC Title Against No. 5 UGA on ESPN2

image No. 7 UK softball defeated No. 6 LSU yesterday to advance to the SEC championship. Kentucky will take on No. 5 Georgia in the title game. This is the first time in program history the Cats have made it to the championship game and also set a season record for wins in a season with 44 thus far. The previous record was set last year with 41 wins. The Georgia Bulldogs defeated No. 1 Alabama on Friday to advance to the championship game. Georgia swept the Cats last week in the season ending series and leads the all-time series against Kentucky 48-12. The Wildcats have went with sophomore pitcher Kelsey Nunley on the mound the last three games in the tournament and she has had an impressive showing. In the last three consecutive games, Nunley allowed only 6 runs and struck out 17, helping lead the Cats to the championship game which will be aired tonight on ESPN2 at 8:00 p.m ET.
