Kentucky made the early drive down I-64W to Louisville and into the KFC Yum! Center on Monday, getting the lay of the land ahead of Tuesday’s clash with the Cardinals. Like they do on most road trips, they got some shots up and walked through a few things to prepare for game day before calling it a night.

The Wildcats shared a few photos from their first look inside enemy territory, followed by fans doing what they do best, looking for potential clues to help steer them into the proper headspace ahead of the matchup. Is everyone back? Anyone missing? Don’t you dare show me a boot!

This time around, fans noticed Otega Oweh dressed out and wearing a hat with the rest of his teammates in warmups. Had he suffered a setback after dealing with a turf toe injury in the late summer and early fall? Was something else up? They went into panic mode on Tuesday when the line jumped from 2.5 points in Louisville’s favor all the way up to 6.5, connecting the dots that there could be a correlation with the SEC Preseason Player of the Year.

Also, what about Trent Noah? He rolled his ankle in the opener vs. Nicholls, then sat out against Valparaiso. The sophomore wing was shown in those early team shots after being seen in a boot last week — a positive sign that Mark Pope was accurate in his belief that “he’s gonna be back soon.”

Where do things stand in the hours leading up to the Battle of the Bluegrass? Both players are fine, KSR first reporting that Oweh and Noah both practiced on Monday with the team back to full strength, minus Jayden Quaintance. From there, nothing changed going into afternoon shootaround, sources said — certainly nothing to justify a four-point swing with the betting line.

That was all confirmed by the team in the hours leading up to tip-off, fortunately, with Kentucky MBB sharing a clip of Oweh and Noah both on the floor getting ready to take on the Cardinals at 8 p.m. ET.

Take a look:

Take a deep breath, nothing to see here, BBN. The Cats are doing just fine.

Hopefully it stays that way with a big-time win at the KFC Yum! Center later tonight.
