My Old Kentucky Home

by:Bobby Perry06/17/09
kitchen1 This past Saturday I attended the Bluegrass Stallions workout at Imani Baptist Church and was thoroughly impressed with the talent that showed up.  There were a few people out there that would have been better staying home but for the most part the talent level was very high.  Getting back together with guys like Ravi and Preston was a refresher and reminder of what a great experience it was to play for the University of Kentucky.  It was also a reminder of bad of shape I am in right now.  I am encouraging everyone to come out and enjoy some great basketball in the fall over at the Kentucky Horse Park.  Coach Macy and everyone with the Stallions have done a great job putting this organization together trying to make it something special for the Central Kentucky Community.  After traveling to Brazil with Coach Macy I have really enjoyed every opportunity I have had to converse with him on many different topics.  He alone is one of the biggest reasons why I will be playing come this fall. At the tryout we talked about the biggest news of the weekend in Modie Jeeks making the jump to the NBA. Coach Macy seemed to think Jodie will be just fine finding a NBA home.  The shortage of pure shooters in the NBA should give Jodie an avenue to have a long and successful career in the league.  Jodie, we wish you the best! In addition to being a mortgage broker, professional basketball player, middle school coach, individual basketball instructor and motivational speaker I am now a home builder with True Kentucky Homes.  We specialize in custom homes and multi-family buildings with over 10 years of experience.  Contact me at [email protected] to get your free estimate for your next custom home! Matt wont like me posting hip-hop music but I figured what the heck.  Here is my rendition of "My Old Kentucky Home: Hip-Hop Style." Enjoy...
