Derek Kief is a 6-foot-5 wide receiver from Cincinnati, one of Kentucky’s early targets in the 2014 class.  He was in Lexington over the weekend with several other highly-touted recruits from the class, and he recapped the Junior Day visit over on his website, DerekKief.com.

The “Recruiting MEGA post” author, who I believe is Kief’s uncle, referred to the visit as The Ohio Invasion, as Kief and five other recruits from the state of Ohio visited together.  Check them out:

Dorian Hendrix, Mikel Horton, Mike Edwards, George Brown Jr., Tyrell Gilbert and Kief.

Kief’s website features interviews with all six recruits, including mini-biographies and many more photos from the trip.  Kief said, “I just loved the whole environment and all the coaches.  They really like me a lot, I really like them a lot.”

He also called Kentucky’s Junior Day, “the most successful recruiting day in the history of the program.”

Is it too early to come on down?
