One factor behind PJ Washington's improved 3-point shooting
PJ Washington’s three-point shooting has been a big topic of discussion in recent weeks. In the last four games, he’s 8-11 from the three-point line, bringing his season average to 44.9 percent, the best on the team. That’s up from 23.8 percent last season.
Yesterday, Draft Express noted the changes in PJ’s shooting form, specifically a cleaner release compared to last season:

The changes to PJ’s form have improved his numbers across the board, which has boosted his confidence. When he gets the ball with a clean look now, he doesn’t hesitate. As Draft Express also notes, PJ’s catch and shoot points per possession is 1.383, up from 0.679 last year. That’s in the 94th percentile in the country.

As John Calipari constantly reminds him, when PJ’s dialed in like this, he’s one of the best players in the country. Keep it up.
