Opening Line for Kentucky vs. Michigan State in the Champions Classic

College basketball season has not officially arrived until Kentucky tips off in the Champions Classic. The moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here.

No. 4 Kentucky will open the Champions Classic inside Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. EST Tuesday night on ESPN. The Wildcats are 6.5-point favorites over Michigan State on Fan Duel. The total is set at 115 points.

Tom Izzo’s unranked Spartans enter the game 1-1 after falling to Gonzaga 64-63 in a game played on an aircraft carrier Friday night. Mady Sissoko, Michigan State’s 6’9″ center, led the Spartans with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Michigan State is 1-1 ATS and the under has hit in each game. The Wildcats covered in each of their first two contests of the 2022-23 season.

Duke will take on Kansas in the nightcap of the Champions Classic. The Coach K-less Blue Devils are 1-point favorites against the defending champ Jayhawks. The total is 110 points between two of last year’s Final Four teams.
