Oregon Offensive Line has Dominated for Will Stein
Will Stein sent a couple of quarterbacks to the Heisman Trophy ceremony. The Oregon Ducks haven’t just been a high-flying, agile unit. The big boys in the trenches have been some of the best in college football throughout the new Kentucky head coach’s tenure in Eugene.
For the third straight year, Oregon has been one of three finalists for the Joe Moore Award, given annually to the best offensive line in college football. That means that every season that Will Stein has called plays in a Power Conference, he’s put together one of the best offensive lines in college football. Not too shabby.
In 2025, the Ducks have one of the best interior units in the sport. Center Iapani Laloulu was tabbed second team All-Big Ten by the coaches, while the two guards, Emmanuel Pregnon and Dave Iuli, received first and third team honors, respectively. The AP voters put every member of the Oregon offensive line on the All-Big Ten team.
The Ducks are the highest-graded pass-blocking team in the nation by Pro Football Focus this season at 89.3, and they rank in the top 20 for both sacks allowed (16th, 14) and tackles for loss allowed (7th, 43).
This group is also a bunch of road-graders. The Oregon offensive line has paved the way for a rushing attack that ranks fifth in yards per carry (5.8) and is rushing for more than 218 yards per game, the second-best in the Big Ten. Their top performance was a 415-yard game on the ground against Rutgers, the most rushing yards in a game by a Big Ten team this fall.
New Additions to the Oregon Offensive line, aka “The Law Firm”
At Kentucky, we have the “Big Blue Wall.” Oregon’s offensive line goes by a different nickname, one Stein gave them during his first spring in Eugene.

In 2023, the Ducks were coached by A’lique Terry, Mike Cavanaugh (analyst), and Cutter Leftwich (grad assistant). Stein liked the way “Terry, Leftwich, and Cavanaugh” rolled off the tongue. It sounded like a Law Firm, and thus a legend was born.
Terry was only 28 years old when he got the post to lead this talented Oregon offensive line. Leftwich played as recently as 2019 for McNeese State, and returned to Oregon this fall after one season at North Texas. The young assistant is one BBN should keep an eye on.
What’s most impressive about the play of the Oregon offensive line? They’ve been able to retool and maintain their dominant identity. The center, Laloulu, was the only returning starter from last year’s offensive line. They developed players to fill those roles, and went to the transfer portal to fill a couple of holes, most notably securing starting offensive tackle Isaiah World.
Obviously, A’lique Terry is going to get a ton of credit for this unit’s dominance as the offensive line coach. That doesn’t mean Stein shouldn’t get any either. He’s overseen an excellent run of trench play in Eugene. It may not look the exact same way right away in Lexington, but you should not expect Stein to abandon this program’s foundation in the Big Blue Wall.
