Oscar Tshiebwe has put pen to paper on his two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers ahead of the NBA Summer League.

Initially agreeing to a two-way deal with the franchise following the NBA Draft in June, the Pacers announced his signing on Monday.

What does a two-way contract entail? For starters, Tshiebwe can earn up to $449,155 — a flat rate equal to 50 percent of the minimum player salary applicable to a player with zero years of service. He will also be allowed to play 50 games with the Pacers in year one with no limit on practices, workouts and other activities with the franchise. When he’s not suiting up in Indianapolis, he’ll be with the team’s G-League affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

First, though, Tshiebwe will look to make a statement in the NBA Summer League, set to begin this weekend. The Pacers play their first game on Saturday, July 8, taking on the Washington Wizards at 8 p.m. ET. From there, they’ll face off against Orlando on July 10, Oklahoma City on July 12 and Dallas on July 14. Those games will take place in Las Vegas.

Tshiebwe closed out his final season in Lexington averaging 16.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest. His first year at Kentucky was one of the most dominant in recent memory, averaging 17.4 points, 15.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks per contest while sweeping national player of the year honors.

Now, he’s ready to prove his worth in the NBA, making his unofficial debut this weekend. That comes after signing on the dotted line on his new contract.
