Kentucky vs. Tennessee part III was everything it was talked up to be but the Volunteers were able to go on a final run to grab the win. Not a great finish by Kentucky, but you see how important the return of Reid Travis is for this team’s postseason chances. When Travis fouled out, Tennessee went on the big run to secure the win. In the two games since returning from injury, Travis has scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
While the ending wasn’t great, we should mention Ashton Hagans dished out 12 assists, P.J. Washington made his presence felt in the second half after battling foul trouble, E.J. Montgomery had an important eight points, and Keldon Johnson had a big bounce back game with 15 points (6-10) to go along six rebounds. Overall it was a great college basketball game but it’s time to get ready for the main event.
Let’s look at the game through the lens of KSR photographer, Dr. Michael Huang.
