LIVE: Point Kentucky Recaps Win Over No. 10 Tennessee with Reagan Rutherford

by:Hunter Mitchell10/19/23

The No. 20 Kentucky volleyball team picked up its biggest win of the season Sunday afternoon as they swept No. 10 Tennessee in Knoxville. It was the first time the Cats have swept an opponent all season. One of the biggest reasons? Senior right side hitter Reagan Rutherford returned to the lineup after missing the first six games of Southeastern Conference play due to injury.

Rutherford joins Hunter and Leah live to talk about the season and the Cats’ monster win over the Volunteers in her return to the court.

But another big weekend lies ahead for Kentucky as they host a pair of opponents at Rupp Arena. The Mississippi State Bulldogs, who are coming off a four-set victory over No. 14 Florida last Friday, will be up first as they head to Rupp Friday night at 7:00 pm E.T.

And on Sunday, SEC leader and No. 10 Arkansas heads to Lexington for a clash with the Cats at 1:00 pm E.T. The Razorbacks are currently riding a 15-match win streak and will play at No. 12 Tennessee Friday night before heading to Lexington on Sunday.

Finally, we’ll catch up with Leah as she was named a captain in Athletes Unlimited for a third-consecutive week after another stellar weekend of play. Tune in live at 8:00 pm E.T.!
