Former Kentucky DB Vito Tisdale commits to Colorado

Former Kentucky safety, Vito Tisdale, will be joining Team Prime Time in Colorado. The former class of 2020 signee made the trip to Boulder this weekend for Colorado’s spring game and made the commitment announcement via Twitter.
Kentucky dismissed Tisdale from the team for a violation of team rules back in March and the defensive back officially entered the transfer portal a week ago. It did not take long for him to find his next home. Tisdale will be joining what will be one of the most talked-about teams in college football this season with Deion Sanders at the helm. From a personality standpoint, this feels like the perfect match.
Tisdale has been electric both on and off the field during his time in Lexington. A torn ACL suffered during spring practice forced him to miss all of the 2022 season, but as a true freshman in 2020, he recorded 20 tackles and was seen as a cornerstone in the defensive backfield. During his sophomore year, he finished with 21 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss.

The following summer, he was one of a few players under investigation surrounding an incident at a fraternity house on campus. However, Kentucky subsequently cleared him, citing no evidence there was any wrongdoing.
Tisdale leaves Kentucky with 373 defensive snaps, 41 tackles, and two tackles for loss in 19 games played. The in-state product and U.S. Army All-American was a first-team All-State selection and chose Kentucky over the likes of Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M during the recruiting process.
Now he takes his prime-time talents to Colorado. Best of luck.
