school_logo_large_darkEverybody eats. It's really to see the offense bounce back after a frustrating start to last night's game, when the team had only two hits to show through the first six innings. Today, the bats got started early. Through the first three innings, the Kentucky lineup plated six runs - capitalizing on a Murray State error and a single from Tuesday's hero Gunnar McNeill in the first and two more RBI singles in the third (Riley Mahan and Luke Becker). Evan White continued his hot streak with another multi-hit/RBI ballgame, giving the sophomore standout thirteen hits in his last five games. JaVon Shelby knocked his fourth home run of the season contributed two RBIs as well. Just an all around team effort from the plate today.   school_logo_large_darkThe pitching staff got some serious work in. Sophomore Zach Pop went a career high four shutout innings before allowing the first and only run of the game, and the supporting cast followed suit with four combined shutout innings of their own. The Wildcat arms struck out ten Murray State batters on the day as well.   school_logo_large_darkHighlights: https://youtu.be/ecUJVgb0-nw That'll do it for tonight. The Batcats will be back in action this Friday when USC-Upstate comes into town for a weekend set. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., with Zach Brown taking in mound looking to follow up a great start against Buffalo last week.
