Reed and Rob go together like peanut butter and jelly. They were on their job during their time at Kentucky, getting buckets and slinging pizzas. Nike is keeping the Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham tandem together as they take the next step in their professional basketball careers.

Unlike most lottery selections, these two Top 8 picks went to well-established teams. The Timberwolves traded up to get Dillingham, while Sheppard joined a talented backcourt in Houston. Both teams reached the playoffs, with Minnesota advancing all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

Neither player stuffed the stat sheet, averaging around 10 minutes per game during their respective rookie seasons, but like the Timberwolves and Rockets, Nike is banking on bright futures for each player.

On July 1, Nike will release two new editions of the GT Cut Pro 3 Turbo, one for Sheppard and one for Dillingham. Sheppard’s shoes mirror the team colors of the Houston Rockets, with REED on the inside of the tongue of the shoe.

Dillingham is much less subtle. He’s going with bright pink for his first signature sneaker. It also will serve as the official rollout of his new logo that pays homage to his nickname, Rob with da Shifts.

You can get your hands on either one of these players’ Nike GT Cut Pro 3 Turbo for the price of $215. Hopefully, these new shoes are just the first footnote before breakthrough seasons for the former Kentucky Wildcats.
