Daimion Collins, a five-star prospect ranked as the nation's No. 5 power forward, will choose between Kentucky, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas Tech and Texas at 6 pm ET Saturday. At this point in the process, it would be a surprise if he picked a school other than Kentucky. Unlike recent UK commitment Skyy Clark, Collins has not been on the Wildcats' radar for an extended period of time. He was long seen as a Texas-lean, thanks to his relationship with Jai Lucas. Once Lucas came to Kentucky, it was only a matter of time before the Wildcats picked up momentum in Collins' recruitment. Since Collins came late onto the scene, during a pandemic nonetheless, we missed the most entertaining parts of the recruiting process. We did not hear Collins' impression from visits to schools, nor did we see pay attention to the coaches who visited him. These early visits produced fantastic photographs that really show to scale the length of the shot-blocker's arms. This is the most recent image from a college visitor before the pandemic effectively shut down recruiting. [caption id="attachment_321478" align="alignnone" width="756"] @CollinsDaimion[/caption] Pretty long right? Not as impressive as his out-stretched arms. [caption id="attachment_321479" align="alignnone" width="756"] @CollinsDaimion[/caption] It's not just his long arms, look at those mitts! Collins' thumb has to be at least twice the size of Buzz Williams' thumb. [caption id="attachment_321480" align="alignnone" width="756"] @CollinsDaimion[/caption] The most striking image is with Jai Lucas. The former point guard is 5-foot-10. Collins' arm goes from the top of Lucas' head down to his waist. You kidding me?!?! [caption id="attachment_321476" align="alignnone" width="756"] @CollinsDaimion[/caption]
