Rhyne Howard becomes youngest player in WNBA history to make 200 three-pointers

Rhyne Howard has had an excellent WNBA career up to this point, and she continues to add to her already stacked resume.
She is the first player from Kentucky to go No. 1 in the WNBA draft, she’s a two-time all star, and now, she’s the youngest player in WNBA history to make 200 career threes. The record was previously held by Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury.
Howard was 24 years and 43 days old when she made her 200th three, while Taurasi was 24 years and 46 days old. Just a three day difference between the two. Of course, Howard’s now the record holder.
In typical Rhyne Howard fashion, she found an open spot and let it fly. She accomplished the goal on Tuesday against the Washington Mystics with 4:05 to go in the first quarter.

Even at such a young age, Howard has proven that she not only belongs in the W, but she’s one of the best players in the league. She’s already being chosen to represent the United States on the Olympic stage in 3×3 competition. Howard has proven she’s a special talent in a short amount of time.
Most likely, she’ll be selected to her third all star team in just her third year in the league. While the Atlanta Dream have struggled at times to be competitive this season, the blame shouldn’t be put on Howard for that. The stats speak for themselves.
As Howard’s career continues to progress, expect to see her name attached to more history-making moments.
