Rich Scangarello has new job working with agency LIFT Sports Management
Former Kentucky offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello will not be on a team this fall but that doesn’t mean that the 53-year-old is out of football. A sports agency has come calling for help as it enters the football space.
The former Denver Broncos offensive coordinator is becoming QB mentor.
In his only season at Kentucky, Rich Scangarello’s unit produced disappointing results in a 7-5 regular season finish. The Wildcats posted some low statistical marks that season ranking No. 92 in success rate, No. 95 in points per drive, No. 101 in yards per play, and No. 106 in red zone touchdown percentage. Expectations were sky-high for Scangarello partnering up with Will Levis, but the quarterback got hurt early in the season and finished the season seeing his numbers dip across the board from 2021.
The 53-year-old resurfaced in 2024 after taking a year off from coaching. Scangarello was named the Las Vegas Raiders quarterbacks coach under first-year head coach Antonio Pierce. However, a bad start ultimately turned into Pierce firing both Scangarello and offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

Now the California native who worked under Kyle Shanahan with the Atlanta Falcons (2015) and San Francisco 49ers (2021) is in the QB training world as he has joined LIFT Football. The basketball agency with clients P.J. Washington, TyTy Washington Jr., and Paolo Banchero is attempting to become a bigger player in the football space. Kyle Murray is currently listed on the client list and the organization just added two notable football agents to its staff.
Rich Scangarello will now play a role in how this growing representation agency operates.
