RIP to Kenny Rogers, "The Gambler" that once went Toe-to-Toe with Michael Jordan
Country music icon Kenny Rogers passed away Friday night. He was 81.
Throughout his legendary career, Rogers recorded 24 No. 1 hits, won six CMA Awards and three Grammy’s. His most timeless hit, “The Gambler,” will be sung for generations and generations to come.
You probably know when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em. You probably did not know that Rogers could hoop. In the 80s Rogers played in a celebrity pro-am round robin with Dominque Wilkins and Michael Jordan. “His Airness” gambled on a fake by Rogers, who made the GOAT pay. Rogers was not a one-trick pony on the court either, showing off excellent interior passing.
Enjoy the blast from the past.
