Did you ever think you’d read that headline? In the NIL world, anything is possible, just like Rob Dillingham teaming up with Kim Kardashian and her apparel brand, SKIMS.

The Kentucky freshman guard is one of six SKIMS March All-Stars, a basketball-themed apparel campaign set to launch this week to open the NCAA Tournament. Dillingham joins Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson, UNC’s Paxson Wojcik, Duke’s Jared McCain, Arizona’s Caleb Love and UConn’s Donovan Clingan — one player from every high-profile program set to participate in March Madness.

The new line will drop Thursday, March 21 at 12 p.m. ET, right before the first game of the tournament.

“Everybody’s wearing (SKIMS),” Dillingham wrote in his individual promo.

Kim Kardashian (and her 364 million followers) shared the national SKIMS campaign video featuring Mr. Shift himself, along with the other five participants.

As part of the launch, SKIMS partnered with SLAM for a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot and how that group of college stars are preparing for March Madness while juggling life off the floor. It’s an exclusive digital magazine cover and story, the media brand referring to the group as “Generation Cool.”

“These college stars don’t just have next, but right now. If Gen Z is the most online generation, then this group of hoopers are more like Generation Cool,” SLAM wrote. “They’re innovative. Stylish. Unapologetically themselves on and off the court.”

“I’ve just been focused on every day, taking it day by day, not looking too far ahead. [I’m] focused on, like, staying [in the] present,” Dillingham told SLAM. “… It’s really just basketball. Obviously it’s a little bit more pressure if you put it on yourself, but [there’s] just no difference for real other than [there’s] more to it. [I’m really just] bringing up my intensity in how I play.”

Dillingham joins Boogie Fland, Jordan Burks with Crossover Culture

It’s not just SKIMS the dynamic freshman guard is teaming up with ahead of March Madness. Dillingham was also a part of the Crossover Culture campaign announced Monday, joining current freshman Jordan Burks along with Kentucky signee Boogie Fland.

“Crossover Culture has built a grassroots community of fans of its high-performance basketball sneakers and apparel, often seen in bright, bold colorways, throughout the nation,” the press release reads. “Crossover Culture has been worn by some of the top high school and collegiate players, on the court in the NBA and the Olympic Gold Medal game — showcasing the comfort, performance, and durability at all levels.

“With these new NIL partnerships, Crossover Culture is working collaboratively with each athlete to create personalized content and media that share the stories of both the brand and the player.”

“Crossover Culture’s products have a great feel,” Dillingham said. “I love the look of what they are doing and definitely appreciate their fresh approach to working with athletes and the overall vision of what they are creating.”

The sneaker and apparel brand will release this new collection at DICK’S Sporting Goods in April.
