Robert Dillingham graduated from Overtime Elite on Friday

Rumors have long been swirling regarding the academic status of Kentucky men’s basketball signee Robert Dillingham, but the future Wildcat just laid all of them to rest.
On Friday, Dillingham posted a picture on Instagram of him in a blue cap and gown with the caption “Who wasn’t gon graduate?” ahead of his graduation from Overtime Elite, which took place on Friday. The shifty shooting guard is now officially cleared to enroll at the University of Kentucky this summer.
The 6-foot-2 Dillingham is considered the No. 15 overall prospect from the class of 2023, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is one of five signees for head coach John Calipari’s incoming group of freshmen, joining a No. 1 ranked recruiting class that also consists of DJ Wagner, Justin Edwards, Aaron Bradshaw, and Reed Sheppard.
The rumors surrounding Dillingham’s academic status stem from him playing for three different programs throughout his high school career.

The Hickory, NC native got his start with Combine Academy (NC) before transferring to the controversial Donda Academy (CA), where he stayed for a year before anti-Semitic remarks from Kanye West — the founder of the unaccredited private school — resulted in Dillingham understandably leaving the program and transferring once more, this time to Overtime Elite in Atlanta, GA.
Since making the move to OTE on scholarship (a move that Kentucky signed off on), Dillingham’s academic status has been seemingly ironed out. Not only did he graduate as expected, but he also shined on the hardwood for the pro league as a member of the Cold Hearts. He averaged 14.7 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per outing this past season, dropping a season-high of 29 points in the opening playoff game against the City Reapers.
We’ll see you in Lexington soon, Rob.
