Time for our weekly recruiting update presented by our friend Andy Luedecke at MyPerfectFranchise. Kentucky’s 2023 recruiting class currently has 14 commitments on board, but that number appears to be in flux. Namely, three-star RB Kahlifa Keith and three-star IOL Koby Keenum both seem to have one foot out of the door, but still remain committed to the Wildcats for the time being. Three-star RB Kaden Moorman was the first domino to fall, backing off his decision to choose UK on Oct. 21.

That being said, Kentucky is on the hunt to add key pieces to its 35th-ranked class. There are a handful of running backs on the radar and a few wide receivers, as well. Some of those new targets were only just recently offered by the UK staff. Which brings us to the focus of the article. Below are all of the high school prospects that have been offered by the ‘Cats in recent weeks.

Class of 2023 offers

Saboor Karriem (CB) 6-3, 185 | West Orange (West Orange, NJ) Illinois commit
3-star: No. 893 overall, No. 92 CB

  • Just two days after committing to Illinois, Saboor “Prime Time” Karriem announced an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. The three-star cornerback has been a high-major prospect following the conclusion of his junior season but has garnered even more attention over the last couple of months. Along with UK, the likes of Michigan State and Indiana have offered Karriem since the beginning of October. Boston College, Louisville, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest have all offered him, as well. Will Kentucky look to flip Karriem’s commitment?

Ardell Banks (WR) 6-3, 180 | Washington (Massillon, OH)
3-star: No. 979 overall, No. 140 WR

  • The sixth Divison I offer for Ardell Banks came from on Monday from Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow. Banks’s previous five came from Miami (OH), Kent State, South Florida, Toledo, and Akron. He was previously committed to Toledo from April until September before reopening his recruitment. Kentucky is after a couple of other top-tier wide receivers in Demitrius Bell and Karmello English, but the staff clearly sees something they like in Banks.

Trey Cornist (RB) 5-10, 220 | Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH)
3-star: No. 1442 overall, No. 99 RB

  • Playing at Cincinnati’s Winton Woods High School — familiar territory for Coach Marrow — Trey Cornist is another running back target to emerge as a possibility for the ’23 class. With Kaden Moorman recently backing off his commitment to the ‘Cats and Khalifa Keith receiving significant interest from Tennessee and South Carolina, UK is wisely exploring all options open. Cornist is a physical power running back who decommitted from Georgia Tech at the end of October. Kentucky will be a serious player in his recruitment moving forward.

Class of 2024 offers

Camdon Frier (WR) 6-1, 170 | Columbia (Lake City, FL) Florida State commit
4-star: No. 292 overall, No. 45 WR

  • Despite being committed to Florida State since January, Camdon Frier received an offer from Kentucky in mid-October. A dual-sport athlete expected to play baseball (where is a possible MLB Draft pick) and football at FSU, Frier has been hearing from plenty of programs throughout the year. Alabama offered him in June, Kentucky a few weeks ago, and Mississippi State less than two weeks back. He also visited Georgia over the summer. All that being said, both Frier’s dad and uncle played football with the Seminoles in the 1990s and he’s taken multiple visits to the Tallahassee-based campus in recent months.

Jeremiah Lowe (CB) 5-11, 170 | Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY)
3-star: No. 604 overall, No. 61 CB

  • A local prospect right down the road, Jeremiah Lowe was offered by Coach Marrow immediately after Frederick Douglass took down a Top 10 ranked Boyle County program in the Kroger KSR Game of the Week this past Friday. Lowe has already earned two impressive Power 5 offers from Michigan and Missouri with the likes of Notre Dame and Purdue keeping close tabs. The Lexington product is teammates in the secondary with current Kentucky commit Ty Bryant. Expect UK to be a major player in this recruitment.

Colton Heinrich (TE) 6-4, 230 | Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

  • He might not be nationally ranked right now, but Colton Heinrich could be on his way to a boost in his stock. The Florida prospect didn’t receive his first Divison I offer until this past spring, which came from Howard. But in recent days, Heinrich has earned scholarships from Central Florida and Kentucky. He also took an unofficial visit to Miami (FL) at the beginning of October.

Deyvid Palepale (DL) 6-2, 305 | Hempfield (Landisville, PA)

  • Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Deyvid Palepale is now playing his high school football in the state of Pennsylvania. Nearby Penn State has established itself as an early frontrunner in his recruitment, but Kentucky is involved now, too. The ‘Cats offered him on Oct. 29, joining the likes of Maryland, Vanderbilt, and Pittsburgh as programs that offered during the month of October. Louisville was actually Palepale’s first Divison I offer — which he received in June — and he will make a return trip to campus this weekend. He’s cousins with Penei Sewell, who plays offensive line for the Detroit Lions and attended Oregon.

Class of 2025 offers

Daune Morris (ATH) 5-10, 180 | Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN)

  • Only a high school sophomore, Daune Morris is quickly establishing himself as a high-major recruit moving forward. He picked up his offer from Kentucky on Oct. 24 and then earned one from Louisville shortly after on Nov. 1. Morris’s first Power 5 scholarship came from Vanderbilt over the summer.
