Sahvir Wheeler still day-to-day after awkward Tom Crean hug

Kentucky point guard Sahvir Wheeler is still listed as day-to-day following an awkward run-in with Tom Crean.
Wheeler and his old head coach crossed paths prior to Saturday’s Kentucky-Georgia game in Lexington. Crean made it weird, then pulled Wheeler in by his injured neck. Crean doesn’t read injury reports, apparently.

After the game, John Calipari was asked about Wheeler’s lingering neck strain and playing status moving forward. Calipari replied, “If he practices on Monday, he will be available for the game on Tuesday. If he practices Monday, he will be.”
So if you’re wondering if Wheeler will play at Vanderbilt next Tuesday night, that answer will be decided at Monday’s practice.
Until then, please stop grabbing Wheeler by the neck.
