All I have to say about the Wildcat’s performance in the SEC Tournament is that I AM LOVING IT. Speaking of “lovin’ it,” this McDonald’s crew in Richmond, KY has got your Saturday Night News and Views. March Madness is a special time in the Bluegrass and it is great to be a Kentucky fan right now.

When you wish upon a Wildcat

Much to the delight of Bobby Portis, who said he wished for another crack at Kentucky in the tournament, Arkansas will battle the Wildcats tomorrow for the SEC Championship. Portis, who had his lowest-scoring game of the season against Georgia today, said the Razorbacks will be prepared for tomorrow's matchup. "Tomorrow is going to be different," he said. "It's going to be a new day tomorrow." Tipoff is at 1 p.m. and I’m wishing for another pig roast.

Allen Edwards and Wyoming get a bid for NCAA Tournament

Former Wildcat and Assistant Coach for the Wyoming Cowboys Allen Edwards beat San Diego State 45 — 43 today; winning the Mountain West Conference Championship and earning the Cowboys a spot in this year’s NCAA Tournament. It’s the first time since 2002, that Wyoming has made the tournament. Edwards knows a thing or two about tournament play. While at Kentucky, Edwards won two National Championships in 96’ and 98’ playing for Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith.

Arkansas took the time to trash talk Kentucky

According to Thomas Beisner, Arkansas players rushed to UK’s tunnel this afternoon to talk trash to Kentucky as they left the court today. I can only imagine what tomorrow is going to be like.

Willie had a great performance today against Auburn

He’s mobile, agile and his dunks are definitely hostile. In case you missed it, Willie’s dunk today and subsequent stare down will get your blood pumping. Willie scored 18 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. In doing so, he passed Sam Bowie on Kentucky’s career block list. Andrew Harrison and Karl-Anthony Towns also performed well. Andrew scored 15 points and Towns was perfect from the stripe making 8 free throws on 8 attempts.

Tyler Ulis is tough

[caption id="attachment_175376" align="aligncenter" width="339"]CAFJeP1XEAAf-GU (Image via ukathletics)[/caption] Trayvon Reed learned today you just don’t mess with Tyler Ulis. He may be 5’9” but that didn’t stop Ulis from taking on 7’2” Reed in a verbal showdown, which ended with a double technical. Kentucky fans knew Ulis was tough when, after receiving a cut above his eye in the Louisville game, he came back in and scored 14 points. You don't mess around with a guy like that.

Championship Sunday

Kentucky will be playing for its 28th SEC Tournament title on Sunday. UK and Arkansas will meet in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2001. The action gets started at Bridgestone Arena at 1pm ET. But before then, join the KSR crew for another pre-game show LIVE from Tin Roof on Broadway. The party gets started at 9:30am CT/10:30am ET. We'll be back bright and early tomorrow morning to get the festivities started. Go Cats!
