Schedule of Events for Kentucky Fans at the VRBO Citrus Bowl

There are blue skies as for as the eyes can see in beautiful Orlando, Florida. Kentucky fans making the trip to the Citrus Bowl will be enjoying 80-degree weather and a host of activities leading into the Saturday afternoon matchup between Kentucky and Iowa at Camping World Stadium.

High Point Watch Party

Unfortunately, the KSR crew could not make it to Orlando for a live New Year’s Eve show at Tin Roof. Luckily, you can still watch the basketball action with other Kentucky fans in Central Florida. The UK Alumni Association is hosting a High Point watch party at Main Event (9101 International Drive), right next to where the pep rally will be held later that afternoon.

Citrus Bowl Pep Rally

There’s one thing you must check off your to-do list if you’re going to Orlando. The BBN will descend upon Pointe Orlando (9101 International Dr.) Dec. 31 at 4:45 pm ET for the official UK pregame pep rally. Mark Stoops will make an appearance alongside the UK band and cheerleaders to get you ready for the big game the following day.

The timing works perfectly. You can watch the basketball team take down Tubby Smith’s High Point team at noon, then direct your attention to Stoops’ troops before checking out all of the CFB Playoff action. With tons of bars and restaurants nearby, there will be plenty of places to unwind on New Year’s Eve.

Citrus Bowl FanFest

Bringing the family to Camping World Stadium? This is the perfect place to tailgate without having to set up an entire tailgate. Located right next to the stadium at Tinker Field, there will be an assortment of inflatables, games face-painting and more for the kids before the game kicks off. It begins at 9 am and admission is free, with plenty of food and beverage options to purchase ahead of the 1 pm ET kickoff.

The Cat Walk

The origins of the Cat Walk are in the postseason. Thousands gathered to greet the team in Nashville ahead of the 2006 Music City Bowl, beginning a new game day tradition. Although full details have not yet been released, try to arrive at Camping World Stadium by 10:30 am ET on New Year’s Day to make sure you are there to greet the Wildcats before they take down the Hawkeyes on national television.
