Score predictions for Week 5 of the 2025 Kentucky high school football season

The 2025 Kentucky high school football season is moving right along.

This week’s schedule is jam-packed with big-time matchups. We have seven games on the docket between teams ranked among the KSR Top 25, including multiple games between top 10 teams and top-ranked Trinity taking on No. 17 Male. But the headliner for Week 5 is in Lexington as the KSR Game of the Week sets up shop for the annual Holy War. No. 23 Lexington Christian Academy hosts No. 22 Lexington Catholic on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.

As we gear up for Week 5 action, we’re predicting the score for every major game on the schedule for this weekend. Using the Massey Ratings — a system created in 1999 by statistician Kenneth Massey that was used to help determine the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) until 2013 — we are able to look up score predictions for every game happening across the state.

As a quick explanation, the Massey Ratings are computer ratings based on historical trends and current-year stats. With that in mind, it will need a few weeks’ worth of games before the numbers begin to hit their stride. However, you won’t find a more reliable system to use in terms of predicting scores throughout the first couple of weeks of the regular season.
