Score predictions for Week 7 of the 2025 Kentucky high school football season

Another week of Kentucky high school football action is almost here.

The majority of this week’s game will take place on Friday, but there are a few notable Thursday night matchups on the docket, as well. We have three ranked matchups to plan for, along with the KSR Game of the Week between South Oldham and No. 21 Woodford County out in Versailles. Also, top-ranked Trinity will head out of state once again to face another Cincinnati school. The Shamrocks lost to Moeller (OH) earlier this season in a close one — can they take down St. Xavier (OH) on Friday?

As we gear up for Week 7 action, we’re predicting the score for every major game on the schedule for this weekend. Using the Massey Ratings — a system created in 1999 by statistician Kenneth Massey that was used to help determine the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) until 2013 — we can look up score predictions for every game happening across the state.

For a brief explanation, the Massey Ratings are computer-generated ratings based on historical trends and current-year statistics. With that in mind, it will need a few weeks’ worth of games before the numbers begin to hit their stride. However, you won’t find a more reliable system to use in terms of predicting scores throughout the first couple of weeks of the regular season.
