SEC announces Kentucky WBB's opponents for 2025-26 season

The Southeastern Conference revealed home and away opponents for the upcoming 2025-26 women’s basketball season on Tuesday.

Kentucky will take on 16 conference opponents throughout the upcoming season — eight at home and eight on the road — as we enter year two of the Kenny Brooks era. The Wildcats have just one home-and-away matchup as the rotating opponent, which will be the Vanderbilt Commodores this year. ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 projects Vandy as a top 15 team in the country.

Among the notable opponents that will play Kentucky inside Memorial Coliseum this season are South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss. All three rank among the top 15 of ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25. In fact, the ‘Cats will play eight SEC games against potentially ranked programs — four at home and four on the road. Kentucky finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 23-8 and a conference record of 11-5.

The 2026 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC, for the ninth time. It will begin on Wednesday, March 4, and conclude with the championship game on Sunday, March 8.

Below is Kentucky’s SEC schedule for 2025-26. Team rankings come via ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25. Dates, tipoff times, and TV assignments will be disclosed at a later time, but the SEC did announce the conference schedule will begin on Thursday, January 1.
