SEC announces updated tipoff times for two Kentucky games
We have a couple of minor modifications to Kentucky men’s basketball’s conference schedule.
The Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday that a pair of the Wildcats’ upcoming league games have changed tipoff times. Below are the new start times:
- Saturday, Jan. 3 @ Alabama | Noon ET on ESPN
- Wednesday, Feb. 4 vs. Oklahoma | 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2
The Alabama game was originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET, so it being bumped up an hour on a Saturday isn’t a huge deal. However, Tuscaloosa is an hour behind Lexington, so that game will officially start at 11:00 a.m. local time — something to keep in mind if you plan on making the trip. The game against Oklahoma in Rupp Arena being moved back two hours (on a weekday, no less) is a bit of a bummer, though. That’ll be a long night for fans wanting to cheer on the Wildcats.
As of right now, the rest of Kentucky’s SEC tipoff times remain unchanged. But we are still waiting on TV assignments for a handful of those matchups. Home games against Ole Miss (Jan. 24 — Travis Perry‘s return to UK), Georgia (Feb. 17), and Vanderbilt (Feb. 28) do not have TD designations just yet; the same goes for away games against Auburn (Feb. 21) and Texas A&M (March 3). Those will be announced at a later date, but they’ll be on one of the many ESPN channels.
Conference games are right around the corner…
