The SEC Championship has a new time slot this year. Traditionally an afternoon game, which is dumb, the SEC title game will now kick off in primetime with an 8 p.m start time on Saturday, December 18. The game will be played in Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and will be televised on CBS.

Now let’s talk about the odds we see Kentucky in that game. They’re not great, although Kentucky has the fifth-best current odds to win the championship.  Right now a $100 bet on the Cats to win the SEC Championship will pay $10,000. That same bet on Alabama will earn you $30.77.

The odds:

Alabama -325
Georgia +300
Florida +400
Texas A&M +1800
Kentucky +10000
Missouri +15000
Arkansas +25000
Auburn +25000
LSU +25000
South Carolina +25000
Tennessee +25000
Mississippi State +75000
Mississippi +100000
Vanderbilt +100000

Night time SEC Championship will be fun, especially now that we know UK-UCLA is earlier that same day.
