Former Kentucky point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander found a way to exceed expectations yet again.

After being drafted No. 11 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, Gilgeous-Alexander was voted to the 2018-19 NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

The 6-foot-6 guard, who averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in his debut season, was the sixth-highest vote-getter among all rookies with 138 total votes.

He was also just 19 votes shy from stealing First Team honors away from former Duke forward Marvin Bagley III.

Take a look at the final voting tally:

The official Los Angeles Clippers Twitter account was obviously pretty excited about their point guard, highlighting some of Gilgeous-Alexander’s top accomplishments as a rookie.

Among them? Making his first start for the team in November, being named as a Rising Star at NBA All-Star Weekend, and scoring a career-high 25 points in the NBA Playoffs just a few weeks ago against the Golden State Warriors.

Former Kentucky forward Kevin Knox didn’t make the First or Second Team, but he did receive 22 total votes, good for second-highest among those who didn’t make the cut.

Congratulations to Gilgeous-Alexander on the impressive achievement!
