Short and Insufficient Profile: Calvin Harrison

OK, so, during the dragging, sweaty, uncomfortable months of summer, we flippantly mentioned that we would be profiling every player on the team. It will only be fun and worthwhile, we decided, if we were both informative AND funny. Well, it would be really fun if we were drunk the entire time, but that's neither here nor there. Thus, for these ten weeks leading up to the UL game, we will have at least one profile a day. We hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed the idea of doing them, but not the actual task. Oh, and we see the egregious "that's what she said" in the headline. We'd also like to use this italicized space to apologize to the families of the players whose last names end in 'A' or 'B' because these early ones might suck a little.  Nice game.  Now get off my field. Boring, Obligatory Vitals Height--6'1" Weight--200 40--4.5 Year--JR Position--Free Safety Hometown--Columbia, SC (Richland Northeast) Unfair comparison to NFL-er: Rodney Harrison.  Same position.  Same tackling ability.  Only one isn't a complete jackass making late hits and committing ridiculous penalties all the time. Most interesting fact from his media guide bio: His father, Raymond Harrison Sr., is in the military and currently stationed in Missouri.  Calvin takes care of the defensive backfield; his pops takes care of us. Something we made up about him: Really looked at Richland Southwest out of grade school, but attended Northeast because of their aviation magnet program. Items of legitimate interest: He was Kentucky's first verbal in '06 and looked at no one else.  Played HUGE last season in place of McClinton.  First game he started (Kent State) got an INT...second game he started (Vandy) led the team with ten tackles (one for a loss).  Outlook for 2008, based on light research by our minions: Will play behind Marcus "Believe" McClinton this season but will see plenty of action.  Also can play strong safety if needed.  Obviously, hope for no injuries, but it's good to know that Calvin is there if we need him.
