Short and Insufficient Profile: Terrence Jones

by:Broseph07/25/08
OK, so, during the dragging, sweaty, uncomfortable months of summer, we flippantly mentioned that we would be profiling every player on the team. It will only be fun and worthwhile, we decided, if we were both informative AND funny. Well, it would be really fun if we were drunk the entire time, but that's neither here nor there. Thus, for these ten weeks leading up to the UL game, we will have at least one profile a day. We hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed the idea of doing them, but not the actual task. Oh, and we see the egregious "that's what she said" in the headline. We'd also like to use this italicized space to apologize to the families of the players whose last names end in 'A' or 'B' because these early ones might suck a little. TJ Rockin' the Stevie J locks.  Solid. Boring, Obligatory Vitals Height--6'2" Weight--192 40--4.4 Year--SO (Redshirt) Position--Wide Receiver Hometown--Atlanta, GA (Douglass) Unfair comparison to NFL-er: Reggie Wayne.  He's a speedy, rangy reciever, but he had to wait his turn before he hits his stride.  Most interesting fact from his media guide bio: Graduated from the same high school as rap icons Kilo Ali, Killer Mike, T.I, and...wait for it...Lil Jon.  WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT?  OOOOOOOOOKKKAAAAAAAAAAY! Something we made up about him: His high school coach, Gary Cantrell, is a relative of Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. Items of legitimate interest: Missed all of last season with a torn knee ligament.  Teammates in high school with current Wildcat OL James Alexander.  A very fast and physical WR whose main forte' is blocking. Outlook for 2008, based on light research by our minions: With the absence of the big guys (Burton, Tamme, and Johnson), he will be in the mix to play behind Dicky (he is currently listed 3rd string).
