Radcliff (Ky.) North Hardin wide receiver Shaun Boykins has emerged as one of the top prospects in Kentucky in the class of 2024. The rising junior is now ready to wrap up his recruitment.

On Saturday, the mid three-star prospect announced that he will be making his commitment on Wednesday, April 26 at North Hardin.

Shaun Boykins received a scholarship offer from Kentucky in July with Vince Marrow running point for the Wildcats on this in-state recruitment. In the last calendar year, the wideout has taken four unofficial visits to Kentucky appearing at a camp in June, two games during the 2022 season, and for Kentucky’s junior day in January.

The North Hardin product accounted for 15 touchdowns last year logging 56 receptions for 897 yards and 28 carries for 221 yards. Boykins should be a contender for Mr. Football honors this upcoming season.

Louisville is the current favorite in this recruitment

Shaun Boykins has a long relationship with the Kentucky coaching staff, but another program has turned up the heat in recent months. Jeff Brohm‘s staff is on the verge of securing their first in-state recruiting win in the 2024 cycle.

Louisville has gotten the North Hardin prospect on campus twice in the last month. Boykins was in attendance at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium on Friday for Brohm’s first spring game as the head coach at his alma mater. Recruiting predictions have this recruitment going Louisville’s way.

Nick Roush and myself have logged predictions for Boykins to commit to Louisville. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives the Cards a 95.6 percent chance to land a commitment from the in-state wideout.

Kentucky currently has nine scholarship receivers on the roster, but Tayvion Robinson is the only senior in the position room. The Wildcats can afford to be selective with this position in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Look for some other receiver targets to emerge if Boykins commits to Louisville on Wednesday.
