Skal Labissiere Dominates at Marshall County Hoopfest

NBC Sports
While the Cats took down the Horns last night, future Cat Skal Labissiere was killin’ the game at the Marshall County Hoopfest in Benton, Ky. The 6’11 center from Memphis finished with 33 points on 13-20 shooting from the field. His team, Reach Your Dream Prep, was annihilated by the much more talented Oak Hill Academy 97-60, but Labissiere was all anyone could talk about.
He got the job done from all over the floor, hitting 3-pointers (are you kidding me?), jump hooks, and mid-range jumpers all with Oak Hill throwing their entire team at him. Labissiere has a chance to finish number one in the Class of 2015, but only time will tell. He’ll surely be a fan favorite in Lexington next year.

Malik Newman, the Mississippi king of mysterious recruitments, finished with 35 points for Callaway but was less productive from the field, only shooting 11-24 and turning the ball over nine times. He plays Orangeville Prep tonight, a team that features Thon Maker, so if you’re thinking about going, go to this game.
Coach Cal will be in attendance tonight to watch Cleveland native Carlton Bragg at the Hoopfest, joining Bill Self and Illinois Coach John Groce, who are all vying for the 6’8 forward.
