THE (OTHER) TWINS ARE BACK! - Sklar Brothers "What Are We Talking About" On Netflix

by: Richmond Bramblet04/30/14rbramblet
Sklar Last week was a good week for twins around the BBN.  Funkhouser is especially excited about the week had by friends of KSR, Randy and Jason Sklar.  It started Tuesday as they dropped their 100th episode of Sklarbro County, featuring Paul F. Tompkins and, as usual, Dan Van Kirk.  The great week was capped off by the release of their new one-hour special, "Sklar Brothers: What Are We Talking About" on Netflix. "What Are We Talking About?" was filmed earlier this year in Madison, Wisconsin and was directed by Jay Chapman.  Chapman is known for directing and producing some of the top comedy specials over the last couple of years, including "Jim Gafigan: Obsessed", "Mike Birbiglia: My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" and "Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive."  Needless to say the Sklars are in good hands with the special. Sklars Having watched it already, the Sklars bring top-notch material to the special.  You know this is going to be something, not to overuse the term but, special, when the program gets a pre/mid/post show NFL Today style panel discussion by Rich Eisen, Omar Dorsey, Dwight Freeney and Terrell Thomas.  Bonnie Bernstein has all of the locker room interviews with Jason and Randy as well. The comedy itself from the Sklars is fantastic.  Favorite bits from the hour takes place as Randy and Jason talk about their kids, and the thought process behind the "No More Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" children's story/song.  It will have you laughing well after the show is over.  It might be this hour's version of "Chopper 4."  Other topics include: New Schwarzenegger catchphrases, joke writing with children, and an epic plane encounter with Richard Simmons, amongst so many others.  Be sure to check out The Sklar Brothers: "What Are We Talking About?"
