The good: Kentucky came back from down 20 points to nearly pull off a miracle win.
The bad: Kentucky got down by 20 points and needed a miracle to nearly pull off the win.
It didn’t go well for the Wildcats as the Louisville Cardinals finally ended their five-game losing streak in a 96-88 victory, their standout guards Mikel Brown Jr. and Ryan Conwell combining for 53 to absolutely torch the UK defense. On the other side, Otega Oweh was a no-show while Jaland Lowe made costly mistakes down the stretch to crush the comeback effort — UL’s stars outplaying UK’s.
Denzel Aberdeen and Collin Chandler deserve their props, though, for hitting big shots and giving the Wildcats life in key moments. Also, how about Kam Williams stepping up in spot minutes late? He may have earned a spot back in the rotation.
