South Carolina trolled KSR because of course they did!

We learned after Kentucky‘s embarrassing loss at South Carolina that Shane Beamer subscribes to the KSR YouTube channel. The head coach of the Gamecocks wasn’t obvious about it, but he certainly did enough to let it slip in a postgame chat with SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic.
KSR’s Nick Roush caught it because it was his quote from UK special teams coach Jay Boulware relayed back to Cubelic from Beamer — and our YouTube channel is the only place it was published.
Long story short, Roush asked Boulware about the reputation of Beamer Ball, the UK staffer responding, “Are we talking about Beamer Ball from his Dad’s days at Virginia Tech?”
Beamer’s response, live on national television?
“To me, Beamer Ball is when you can score on defense, you can make plays on special teams. One of their coaches this week got asked about Beamer Ball, and said, ‘I’m not familiar with that at South Carolina. That’s a Virginia Tech, Frank Beamer thing.’ So, we’ll see,” he said, pointing at the scoreboard.
Fast forward to Sunday, and South Carolina is making it very clear they are, in fact, subscribed to the KSR YouTube channel. Actually, scratch that — they’re blatantly ripping our content in celebration, trolling KSR and Kentucky at the same time.

“Thanks y’all!” the Gamecocks shared on social media, using KSR’s clips of Terhyon Nichols, Shiyazh Pete and Daveren Rayner talking about how excited they were to play in a hostile environment like Williams-Brice Stadium and how much good they’ve heard about it.
“I heard that South Carolina is a good atmosphere,” Pete says with the KSR logo right there in the bottom right of the frame. “I’m looking forward to it.”
“Going to a place like South Carolina, me personally, it’s probably my favorite stadium in the SEC,” Rayner added. “I’m excited to go back.”
Yeah, not sure we feel that way after the fact, the Wildcats taking a 35-13 loss in Columbia.
You’ll be hearing from our lawyers, South Carolina. Cease and desist.
You know how we could have avoided all of this? If Mark Stoops could win a football game coming off a bye week — or win an SEC game at all, for that matter.
One day, maybe. Hopefully. Please?
