Stan Van Gundy Wishes you a Happy Holiday
Stan Van Gundy disapproves of you enjoying your Christmas!
Stan Van Gundy is like your crazy uncle that you only see on Christmas. Most of the time you forget about him, he’s got a creepy porn-stache, and he coaches for the Orlando Magic. Such is the tradition, there were a handful of NBA games on TV yesterday, giving many a sports fan an excuse to not be helping set the table. Or giving distant relatives something to talk about for a bit. Or maybe there are some people that actually like watching the NBA. Either way, Van Gundy hates you and doesn’t want you to be happy.
In a post game interview, SVG made a request for the NBA to stop playing games on Christmas. Not a huge deal of course, but he didn’t have to follow it up with “I actually feel sorry for people who have nothing to do on Christmas Day other than watch an NBA game.” But he did. Look, I hope that many people had something to do other than watch an NBA game yesterday, but if that NBA game is the most happiness you can get out of Christmas, why would we want to take it away from you? And besides, he really should be feeling sorry for those that didn’t have anything better to do but be a fan of his other work.
