Star Wars' Sunday Morning Awakening
Bah bah…bah bah bah baaa bah…bah bah bah baaa bah…bah bah bah bah.
Good morning BBN!
Allow me to start off with a request. If you have a few hours to spare today, go see Star Wars The Force Awakens. You won’t be disappointed. Round up the entire family and prepare for 135 minutes of pure Star Wars entertainment. The new film has already broke opening day records, grossing $120 million on Friday, with another $60 million projected yesterday. Over the entire opening weekend, The Force Awakens is projected to pass Jurassic World for the box office record. Star Wars is currently projected to make over $220 million after today, which will pass the dinos that grossed $208.8 million earlier this year.
No spoilers, but this is the film all Star Wars fans have been waiting for. It completely blows the prequels out of the water, and returns back to its original roots. Many of you have probably watched it by now, but if you haven’t, you need to soon. Especially if you plan on avoiding spoilers throughout the holidays with family and friends.
Here’s whats ahead for your Sunday:
#8 UK Hoops takes on #11 Duke at Rupp

@UKHoopCats
The time has finally arrived to pack Rupp and cheer on Matthew Mitchell’s UK Hoops team. The Cats will host Duke tonight at 7 PM in Rupp Arena. Tickets are still available for less than $9 in the lower level, so be sure to head out and show them the support they deserve. If you buy tickets online, use promo code HOOPS, and your seats will be reduced to $2 each.
The UK hoops team is off to one the best starts in school history, currently sitting at (9-0). They’re only the 5th women’s team at UK to start the season with 9 consecutive wins. Let’s make sure they pick up number 10 tonight. All time, Duke (9-2 this season) leads the series 5-1, with Kentucky last beating the Blue Devils in Rupp Arena four years ago. Be sure to arrive early, pack the house, and get loud! How relieving would a basketball sweep of Duke be? Bring the brooms.
If you can’t make it to the game, it’ll be live on the SEC Network, with radio coverage provided by 630 WLAP.
