Kentucky senior tight end
Steven Borden already has the most famous father on the Wildcats' roster.
The son of professional wrestling icon Steve Borden, also known as
Sting, Borden is trying to make a name for himself in his senior season.
Appearing on hall of fame pro wrestling announcer Jim Ross's
The Ross Report podcast, Sting spoke to both he and his son's experience in Lexington.
"It's been awesome. I'm loving every minute of this," the elder Borden said. "We're hoping for a standout year. He's got some great coaches and we believed going into this that this was the right move in order to get him to the next level."
The 6-foot-3, 246-pound tight end, who was listed as the starter on the post-spring depth chart released in mid-July, caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats last season. He also hauled in a 17-yard scoring catch from Reese Phillips in UK's Blue-White Spring Game in April.
Sting, who is a 15-time world champion in a pro wrestling career that spans nearly 30 years, said he attended every UK game but one last season.
