Kentucky QB target Stone Saunders visits Nebraska

On Tuesday, Kentucky saw a 2024 QB target come off the board when three-star prospect Danny O’Neil committed to Colorado. However, there are other options emerging at the most important position in football.
In the class of 2025, Kentucky is firmly in the running for blue-chip prospects Cutter Boley and Ryan Montgomery. There is also another quarterback to know about.
Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt rising sophomore Stone Saunders (6-2, 205) is currently an unranked recruit, but that should not last for long. Kentucky issued a verbal scholarship offer to the quarterback in January while Saunders was on an unofficial visit and is very much in the mix in this recruitment. Now the prospect is going back for round two on the recruiting trail.
Saunders has begun a tour for spring practice. His first stop was in the Big Ten as the quarterback checked in on Matt Rhule’s program at Nebraska on Tuesday.

That’s not the only trip that Saunders plans to take over the next couple of weeks. “I am going to see Notre Dame, Michigan, Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee this spring,” Saunders told Husker Online.
The 2025 prospect has a recruitment that is starting to pick up some steam and Kentucky is firmly in the mix. Visits are starting to heat up as the spring progresses and the Wildcats are making some moves at quarterback. There must be work done in the 2024 cycle, but some valuable targets are emerging in the class of 2025 for offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
Recruiting never stops.
